Yesterday was a great day, indeed. If you weren't aware, we organized a popup shop event at Norseman Distillery (with friends Marked Leather and Mill City Fineries). In case you weren't able to attend, here is a time-lapse video of the event (courtesy Norseman Distillery):
Let us just say, nothing makes us happier than a day packed full of networking with other like-minded Minnesota brands, while catering to a large crowd of guests eager to support local businesses-- all while taking the opportunity to check out the exceptional physical location of our host, another great local brand. In this case, Norseman Distillery (past event locations have included Five Watt Coffee and Lynlake Brewery).
As guests piled in for the event, we found ourselves engaged in many different conversations. We love sharing the reasons we do what we do, and why we're so passionate about American Made products-- and we appreciate you asking! Our hand-forged ax was a crowd favorite and the story behind it was told many times (see image below). We talked about hunting, the art of shaving (with @niccobiz), all the American made brands we love to promote (Filson, Duluth Pack, Alfred Lane, Bison Made, Field Notes, MBS Mfg, Grifter USA, Rogue Industries, Woodchuck Cases, Mill City Fineries, to name a few), new business opportunities and collaborations (@Lynlake, @Damon), etc. A common question asked throughout the day was, "when's the next show going to be? Our reply; soon friends, very soon.
We premiered our entry level collection of Filson products and had a blast showing/talking about the impeccable quality that can be found in their Mackinaw Wool Vest, Original Briefcase, Duffle Bag and the Short Cruiser Jacket. We can't wait to build-out this assortment.
Our branded, hand-forged ax hanging out pre-show with some Marked Leather Weekender bags:
Lee from Five Watt Coffee demonstrating his skills with the presentation of "Northwood Raj,"a collaborative cocktail using Five Watt cold press coffee and Norsmen Gin:
Matt from Mill City strategically aligning their spring collection of fineries:
David from Great Lakes Collection applying the finishing touches on their display of gear designed for life at the lake (and Scott from Marked Leather checking his email):
Spruce Soda waiting for the show to begin. Their Ginger Beer was a huge hit:
The ladies at Blue Henn are awesome. Their Artisan Tonic Syrup sold out-- no surprise:
Marked Leather making friends, as folks shopped their collection (featuring new merchandise-- check out that weekender at the far end of the table):
And this is just a glimpse into all the great people, brands, support and happenings!
We really appreciate all who came out, and all who played a hand in making this event a success. We are so grateful to be a part of such a supportive community-- we hope you had as much fun as we did. Can't wait to announce our next event.Thank you.
